Quantum Power Pack Issues

Many people are experiencing issues with the Quantum Power Pack. The following information should be helpful in getting the most out of your Limited Edition content.

1. The most common reason that the Quantum Power Pack does not work is the ccmerged. In order for your sim to be able to transform into the power suit, the sim must get a moodlet from Quantum Power Pack. The moodlet triggers the transformation, so without it, the pack will not work. Repair your ccmerged or download a complete one.

2. On the same note, outdated mods that alter Premium Content moodlets will cause this issue, such as my Spell book tweaks mod (this mod has been updated). Update any premium content moodlet mods, or remove them, to ensure that the Quantum Power Pack will work.

3. If the Launcher did not properly install the Quantum Power Pack, you might experience issues. Try re-installing the pack a few times to get it working correctly. Note that the number one issue with the Quantum Power Pack is the ccmerged/outdated moodlet mods, so I recommend trying the first suggestion before re-installing.

4. Finally, if you have de-crapped your Quantum Power Pack (or installed a pirated version of it), it will not work. Instead, run your untouched sims3pack through s3rc and then install the pack as package files. Make sure you have the correct ccmerged. I recommend installing only the accessories/power suits as package files (i.e. install the decrapped sims3pack and then add only the packages for the accessories and power suits to your game. Don’t add the package for the stasis chamber).

  1. Hello, and thanks for the info. Just a quick question. Which packages are the ones of the accesories/suits? How do I know it? I get the packages from the sims3pack using the sims3pack multiinstaller, but I don’t know which is which. Thanks in advance!!

    • Hiya Minyare, you can check which package is which by using S3PE to open the packages and checking the Thumbnail/name of the of the resources in the package. However, I’ve made you a list this time around:

      Use everything EXCEPT these two packages:

    • hi, I’ve decided to leave a comment cause I’ve had an issue with the quantum thing too, and I’ve seen many advices about it in the net, but nobody saying “YES! FINALLY IT WORKS!” so I keep trying and reading here and there and finally I have something that works, not 100%, but works.
      what I did:
      1) I downloaded the november store update (54) from a torrent file (easy to find it, it is the one that has both sims3pack and package) uploaded a couple days ago (11Gb). no need to download all, just the 54 update. unrar the package.
      2) replace the ccmerged with the last one (I downloaded it from this (nonasims) page)
      3) put the package in the mods/package

      run the game:
      now when my sim enter in the chamber the motives (hunger, sleep,…) are filled up (ok, it happened also before my changes), but when he comes out a modlet appears (now he cant use it for 5h).
      back in the chamber to dress the quantum suit. before these changes I’ve tried what happened was… nothing.
      with the changes something happens: the sim wears the quantum suit…the only problem is that there is a missing object problem and, as you know, the program replace the object with a big white box. so the sim is wearing a big white box. but if you click on your sim you’ll see all the normal interactions plus the quantum suit ones (and they work).
      now shift+click on the box: object: delete. the box disappears and the sim is wearing a normal suit but has the quantum interactions.
      if I save the game when wearing the quantum suit, when I open the game the sim wears the same suit, the game considers that he is wearing the quantum suit but the interactions are no longer available.
      so I have to go to the chamber, undress, dress, white box, shift+click on the box: object: delete.
      only way to have back the quantum interactions.
      just one more thing: its not THE SOLUTION, but at least it works, and…it works in MY PC, MY game, MY configurations and mods installed. each one has different configurations and mods, so no guaranties that it works for you. anyway while waiting for a fix for the quantum thing, I’ve thought this might work for someone else.

    • Pregnant sims can’t use the stasis chamber. If that’s not the issue, you have to be more specific.

  4. Would you happen to have a fix for the power suit yet? My sims go in the chamber as if they are putting it on, but nothing happens, no interactions for it nothing… Help Please! 🙂

    • Hiya Shaun,
      If your Quantum Power Pack is legit, you need to update your ccmerged. Make sure you remove or update any mods that altered the ccmerged. If it’s not legit, you can get a fix at MATY.

    Thanks for your reply, it is legit, i have tried the ccmerged and still not working, tried reinstalling a couple of times aswell… Any other ideas??

    • Somebody on the official forums had this problem and they were able to fix it by manually uninstalling the suits via the launcher, and then re-installing the pack. You might have success with that. You didn’t say if you’Re using any mods. If you are, try removing your mod folder and testing the stasis chamber. If the sim puts on the suit, you have an outdated store BUFFs mod somewhere.

      • OK will try that… They only mods that i have are overwatcher, story progression and a saver which were all updated when the 1.63 patch came out. will double check the website and see if anything new has come out just in case.

  6. My initial issue was that the suit would not equip. What I found out to be the culprit was a file I downloaded and had in my mods folder named “Sims 3 Store Fixes 10-04-2013.package” Once I removed it, I was able to equip the suit, although I’m still evaluating its performance. The wormhole option works.

    • Yep, an out of date fix can cause that exact issue. If the fix overrides the ccmerged you won’t have the buffs associated with the object and then your sim won’t be able to equip the suit. Glad it’s working for you now.

  8. Hello there Nona! Thank you so much for this, it’s working now. 🙂 I’m just wondering is it really intended that the boots, suit, etc are accessible in CAS now? I see some NPC sims wearing quantum power pack outfits. lol

  9. Hi Nona! First thanks so much for taking the time to help us all. 🙂 My drama is I’m still not getting the moodlet for the suit, so I understand that’s why it’s not equipping. The sim just goes in and then comes right out with their arm sparking but no suit at all and no moodlet.

    I have no mods at all and I’ve done the clean ccmerge rebuild without any changes. So I downloaded the ccmerge and used that one without success too. 😦 I would like to try the suit in package form but I’m unclear about something. I understand to use only the accessories/suits packages but not the chamber package, I assume leaving that as the Sims3Pack. But while I’m using the accessories/suit packages, do I also leave those in Sims3Pack form installed as well? Or do I remove the Sims3Packs while using the packages version? (I hope that didn’t sound confusing. I’m so sorry lol) Also the current ccmerge, does it stay in the its original back up folder, or do I move it elsewhere while using the packages? Thanks so much if you understand this mess. 🙂
